inj the Diocese of Bayombong

                                                                           History of Saint Anne Parish

The Administration of the mission in Malasin and other barangays of Dupax Del Norte was under the CICM missionaries who were assigned in the parish of Dupax del sur.  By the year 1960, a chapel was built in Malasin through Fr. Theo Bonarius, the then parish priest of Dupax del Sur.

The mission in Malasin became difficult to administer because of the growing number of believers and other parochial responsibilities.  Thus in 1979, the mission was seperated from Dupax del Sur and was made an independent parish, Fr. Staf Lambrechts CICM was installed as its first parish priest.  He was succeded by Fr. Jeff Tonnelier CICM who built and situated the main church in Malasin with Sta. Ana chosen as the patron saint of this newly established parish.

In 1990, the CICM missionaries ended their zealous work in the parish.  The administration of the parish was handed to the diocesan clergy with Fr. Nereo Agoloos installed as the first diocesan priest.  Fr. Nereo and the other diocesan priests who succeded him were able to guide and shepherd the faithful.  The barrios were given chapels to house the increasing number of believers.  They organized and strengthened the different ministries and apostolate of the parish.  With such industry, they endeavored to stabilize and develop the faith of the faithful as well as the administration of the parish.
